Part 1. Overall Mobile Phone Market in China
February domestic mobile phone shipments reached 18.1 million units, down 38.7 percent year over year. 75 new models were released in the month, up 120.6 percent year-over-year (y/y).
Over the past 2 months, domestic mobile phone shipments reached 57.2 million units and number of new model release reached 126, down 25.2 percent and up 29.9 percent y/y respectively.

Part 2. Development of 4G Mobile Phones
February domestic 4G mobile phone shipments were 17.5 million units, down 37.0 percent y/y, and represented 96.8 percent of the total shipments. 56new 4G models were released in the month, up 107.4 percent y/y, accounting for 74.7 percent of the total new models this month.
Over the past 2 months, domestic 4G mobile phone shipments were 53.9 million units, down 26.2 percenty/y, and represented 94.2percent of the total shipments. The totalnumber of new model release reached 89, up 15.6 percent y/y, accounting for 70.6 percent of the total new model release.
Of the total 4G mobile phone shipments this month, 92.5 percent of which were all networks supported, and 98.8%, 99.9%,98.8%, 92.5% of the 4G mobile phones shipped supported FDD LTE, TD-SCDMA, WCDMA, CDMA 2000 network, respectively.
Part 3. Local and MNC Brands of Mobile Phones
February mobile phone shipments by the local brands reached 15.4 million units, down 41.3 percent y/y, accounting for 84.8 percent of the domestic mobile phone shipments. Number of new models released by the local brands (67 units) increased by 109.4 percent y/y, and represented 89.3 percent of the total number of new model release in the month.
Mobile phone shipmentvolume for year 2018 by the local brands reached 48.9 million units, down 27.1 percent y/y, and accounted for 85.5 percent of the domestic mobile phone shipments. Number of new models released by the local brands (112 units) increasedby 24.4 percent y/y,and represented 88.9 percent of the total number of new model release in the domestic market.

Part 4. Development of Smart Phones
February smart phone shipments were 17.5 million units, down 37.1 percent y/y, and accounted for 96.6 percent of the domestic mobile phone shipments in the month.Over the past 2 months, smart phone shipments were 53.8 million units, down 26.2 percent y/y, and represented 94.1 percent of domestic mobile phone shipments.
In February, 57 new smart phone models were released, up 111.1 percent y/y, and accounted for 76.0 percent of the number of new release.Over the past 2 months, 90 new smart phone models were released, up 15.4 percent y/y, and accounted for 71.4 percent of the number of new release.
